Impact

Impact and results

How we expect our work to make a difference, and how we will measure it. Results will be reported here as our first projects run.

Theory of change

How change happens

For each pillar, we work from a clear problem to the long-term change we want, and measure each step.

PillarThe problemWhat we doWhat we deliverWhat changesLong-term impact
HealthPreventable illness and costly care keep children out of school and adults out of workHealth sessions, referrals and research on health financingPeople reached, referrals made, briefs publishedPeople recognise warning signs and seek care earlierHealthier young people who can learn and work
EducationMany learners, especially the poorest and those with disabilities, fall behind or leave schoolTutoring, learning materials, digital skills and research on inclusionLearners supported, materials provided, briefs publishedBetter reading and numeracy; more inclusive schoolsEvery child learning, whatever their background
EconomyYoung people and women lack skills, savings, mentors and financeTraining, savings-group links, mentoring and research on enterprisePeople trained, founders mentored, briefs publishedMore saving, more businesses surviving and growingDecent incomes and jobs for young people and women

Research runs through every pillar: what we learn from projects goes into policy briefs and dialogues, and what we learn from research shapes the next project.

How we monitor and evaluate

  • A baseline survey before every project starts
  • Simple progress checks during each cycle
  • Follow-up at six and twelve months for livelihoods and enterprise projects
  • An end-of-project review, published on the project page
  • Independent evaluation for larger projects, when funding allows

Stories from the people we serve

With their consent, we will share participants' experiences here, in their own words. We will never publish a story, photo or name without permission, and never identify a child.
